Thief

“The Thief” is a classic of psychological comedy, associated on Polish stages primarily with the eponymous creation of Jan Kobuszewski. And on the Comedy stage in this role Dorota Stalińska, accompanied by: Katarzyna Herman/Renata Dancewicz, Marcin Perchuć/Mariusz Zaniewski, Eliza Borowska, Piotr Ligienza/Maciej Zuchowicz. The musical background of the performance will be filled with works by Krzysztof Komeda.

The action - kept in the atmosphere of the 60s - takes place in a wealthy house in the English province. Four childhood friends — two married couples — return late at night from a wedding anniversary party and find their home ransacked. There's been a break-in, and the thief is still at the scene. Unexpectedly, the intruder begins to conduct a game with the heroes, and inconvenient facts for them come to light. It turns out that while searching the house, an uninvited guest has learned deeply hidden secrets and does not intend to give up such an excellent opportunity to remove several social masks. And by the way, for fun.

He's not a thief like many. Not a simpleton or a prick. More in it from a sophisticated psychologist who likes to use knowledge, but does not like it to be boring then. And our heroes will find out about this very painfully, because an unusual meeting will shed a different light on the previous relationships of good friends and exemplary couples, their loyalty, worldview and memories of the past. Time will not cure anything here, because with every hour of surprises and multiplying questions will arrive: what is in the safe? who and why always loses their tennis matches, and who and why hides their birth certificate? What really makes a precious medallion so valuable? wasn't something worth more than jewelry and money stolen?

And above all: what is true friendship worth and... who is not worth it?
