YAKUSHIMA ILLUSIONS

Corry is a French woman living in Japan. He lives with Jin and works at a hospital in Kobe, caring for children awaiting heart transplants. In a country where the culture still finds it difficult to accept the idea of organ donation, Corry faces social resistance on a daily basis and tries to change the consciousness of those around him, fighting for every potential donor. When Jin suddenly disappears without a trace, Corry begins a desperate search. At the same time, he must wage a dramatic race against time to get his young patient transplanted. Her personal and professional lives are woven into an increasingly strained web of dependencies in which every decision can mean life or death.

“L'illusion de Yakushima” is a story of love, loss and the limits of responsibility, set between France and Japan - in a world where science, ethics and emotions constantly clash.
