“Let's tear down the new mill!” — meeting of residents around art, neighborhood and collaborative creation

Project “Let's Grind the New Steel Plant!” is a family artistic and integration event for the inhabitants of Nowa Huta. We will create a space where children, adults and seniors can create, experiment, talk and get to know their neighbors together. Art in this case will be, first of all, an excuse to meet and spend time together.

During the event, we will create and experiment together with a variety of materials and surfaces — canvases, cardboard, stones, pots, bags, wood and glass. We will decorate the club glass and create chalk graffiti. There will be no single pattern or definite end result — you will be able to decide for yourself what and how you want to create.

It is not necessary to have artistic abilities or previous experience. A variety of materials and techniques will encourage you to try new things, express yourself freely and collaborate with others.

A special element of the meeting will be the painting of stones. At the end of the event, they will be “released” to various places in Nowa Huta. Their presence in the space of the district will invite residents to continue having fun and become the beginning of their own wanderings. The person who finds the stone will be able to take it with him and then leave it in another place so that it can be found by another person.
