Sign — linorite and exlibris

The workshop “Sign — linocut and exlibris” introduces participants to the basics of traditional graphic technique, which is linocut. Recipients will learn the principles of creating a matrix, how to make prints and the history of exlibris — a proprietary mark placed on books. In the practical part, participants design their own exlibris, then transfer the prepared pattern to a linorite matrix and make prints. The starting point for projects can be the natural world — plants, leaves, fruits, forest motifs and other forms observed in the surroundings of the Exploseum. A self-made sign can become a personal bookmark or a souvenir from classes.
