See the invisible

What does the Earth look like? When we close our eyes, we almost automatically see it as a blue planet floating in outer space. This picture, so obvious today, has accompanied humanity for only about half a century — from the moment we first looked at our world from afar.

Since then, our perception of the Earth has been constantly changing. In the crystalline “eyes” of the satellites, the planet reveals new colors and structures, transmitting vast amounts of data. The Earth is no longer a motionless blue sphere — it emerges as a dynamic, changing ecosystem.

This session tells the story of how satellite technologies have revolutionized our understanding of the planet. Thanks to orbital observations and measurements carried out on its surface, today we are able to respond more quickly to environmental changes and extreme phenomena. Advances in technology and global collaboration in Earth observations allow us to track and respond more closely to Earth's changes.

The show consists of two parts — the first is a walk through the current sky, conducted live by a Polish speaker. The second part is a projection in Polish. The English soundtrack is available by selecting the headphone icon in the reservation system.
