The band's creativity grows out of a deep understanding of instruments and freedom of improvisation. Musicians respond to each other instantly, creating rich, expressive soundscapes where every nuance matters. The sounds they create gradually break away from their original meanings and transform into multi-layered, immersive narratives. Their music draws on many aesthetics: from free improvisation, to drones, to ambient structures.

In 2026, April 17, the album “In the no-time” was released in trio with Vasco Trilla at the Canadian Tour de Bras. Link: https://tourdebras.bandcamp.com/album/in-the-no-time which alludes to the aesthetics and creative approach of the duo.

BIO:

Zofia Ilnicka — flutist, composer, improviser, known for her versatility and commitment to projects on the border of classical, experimental and improvised music. In 2016 she graduated from the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. For many years she has been closely associated with the performance of new and improvised music. She is an artist bravely exploring advanced performance techniques. Involved in many jazz, free-impro and contemporary music projects including DEAE, Hajstra Trio, Trio_io, Layers, Space Welders, Brzoska Kolektyw, Kraków Improvisers Orchestra. He collaborates with many composers, consulting their works. She has collaborated with the Landjugendorchester NRW, the Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz and the Toruń Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with Zygmunt Krauze, Augusti Fernandez, TimotheeCoast, among others.

Paweł Doskocz — guitarist working mainly in the field of improvised and experimental music. In his practice, he often uses extended techniques and instrument preparation, looking for new sonic possibilities. He draws inspiration from a wide spectrum of aestheticians, which translates into his distinctive, constantly evolving musical language.

He co-created the bands Bachorze and Strętowa, as well as collaborated with many artists from Poland and abroad. He has performed at numerous festivals dedicated to improvised and experimental music, e.g. Ad Libitum, New Age of Avant-garde, Art of Improvisation Creative Festival, Jazz Ring, Musica Privata, Katowice JazzArt Festival, FRIV Festival, Avant Art Festival and Spontaneous Music Festival.

He currently works in several projects, including in a trio with Emilio Gordoa and Matthias Müller, in a duet with Benedict Taylor and in the trio Sumpf (with Piotr Tkacz and Patryk Daszkiewicz).
