FARCE. COMEDY DELL'ARTE. A text about marriage written by... marriage, in the most literal sense possible: Dario Fo, winner of the 1997 Nobel Prize for Literature, created OPEN RELATIONSHIP with his wife, Franka Rame. It was written “for the street”, for the so-called street theater. Its axis is to mock and play the institution of marriage, juggling stereotypes relating to the nature of women and men. The eponymous “modern” open relationship is the union of free — that is, unfaithful to each other — spouses.
It must be said once. An open relationship has its downsides! The main rule is: If an open relationship of two people is to function, it can only be open on one side: On the man's side! Because when the relationship opens from both sides, a draft is created!
