From September 26, 2026, the Gallery will be able to see an exhibition entitled: “Where the Devil Says Goodnight”.
Birds lead us deep into a mysterious forest — full of extraordinary creatures, treasures and fairytale wonders. Among the trees you can meet dragons, elves, wizards, devils, witches, giants and fairies. It is they who guard the secrets hidden in the forest and invite you to a world where the line between reality and fairy tale is blurred.
In the Doll Gallery of the Baj Theater we present dolls and other objects from the archival performances of our theater. Each of them remembers their own stage story, and today - once again - they can meet with the audience.
In the exhibition “Where the Devil Says Goodnight” we will see the works of outstanding scenographers who over the years have co-created the artistic world of the Baj Theatre: Ali Bunsch, Zofia Czechlewska-Ossowska, Andrzej Dworakowski, Ewa Farkashova, Adam Kilian, Jerzy Kolecki, Urszula Kubicz-Fik, Mikołaj Malesha, Jerzy Michalak, Zygmunt Smandzik, Marian Stańczak, Wacław Ujejski, Agnieszka Wielewska and Jacek Zagajewski.
Join us for a meeting with the inhabitants of the fairytale forest. Perhaps you have already seen some of these creatures on the stage of the Baj Theater? Or maybe you will only know their secrets now?
We invite you to the Gallery of Dolls — a place where old shows are given new life, and dolls can once again tell their own amazing stories.
The tour with the curator of the Gallery of Dolls, Łukasz Kuczyński, takes place after selected performances in groups no larger than the school class.
Individual viewers are invited on selected Saturdays.
We have been inviting viewers to the Doll Gallery for 5 years.
