Visiting the Theatre

Who were the binocular spectators and who were the connoisseurs of the ballet body? How is it possible that over the years the theater could accommodate 800 spectators, and today only 311? How did the theatre in Lublin come about, which at the time of opening was one of the most beautiful and modern theatre buildings in Europe? After a long break, we return to visit the Juliusz Osterwa Theatre in Lublin, which is of great interest. This is the last moment to see it in its shape unchanged for 137 years, because next year the building of the theater will begin to change.

We invite you to walk through the corners of the theater inaccessible to the public. Only now will it be possible to stand on the stage where Helena Modrzejewska, Gabriela Zapolska and the most outstanding actors of the 20th interwar years played with the patron of our theater Juliusz Osterwa at the head. Only now will it be possible to get to know the theatrical machines and make the wind or thunder yourself. Only now it will be possible to touch theatrical props.
