In 1822, the theater at the intersection of Dominikańska and Jezuicka streets in Lublin gave its first performance. The second, after the Krakow theater, the longest existing theater building in Poland has a rich history, it has survived many times, seen a lot, remembered a lot. We discover this wealth and make it available to you in a new permanent exhibition. We tell about a specific place and show how its history contributes to our diverse culture.
We have collected stories about the family of the owners, actors, directors, circus performers, theatrical premieres, film screenings, magic shows, posters, books, articles, photos and videos. We hope that for past viewers it will be an inspiration to share memories of this unusual place with us.
Participation in the tour is free of charge.
We kindly inform you that the Theatre has additional typholomaterials for the permanent exhibition and materials on the layout of the rooms in Braille and Klein.
If you would like to use additional materials for people with visual impairments, please contact us 7 days before your scheduled visit. This will make it easier for us to prepare.
