“Live now!” is a unique show of support, created with therapeutic intention, the beginning of which was born in the office of Barbara Popławska, with sensitivity and precision transferred to the stage by Wawrzyńec Kostrzewski. It arose from the need to talk about the difficult, but also the most important: the strength that each of us carries within us, and at the same time about how fragile and surprising life can be. It is a theatrical encounter with the experiences of people - strangers, fellow passengers, neighbors, work colleagues, loved ones passed on the run. An encounter that with every minute is able to tell so much about you, your story, your fears and your hopes...
The realization of the performance became the fulfillment of the dreams of Justyna Sieńczyłło — the chief and artistic director of the Kamienica Theater, actress, mother, wife, woman; dreams of art that moves, strengthens, inspires and ignites a spark in the viewer. A theater that absolutely provokes life. Not tomorrow. Not later. NOW.
On a circular screen we see people passing by whom we do not know, who carry their stories, who have their worries, their pains, their victories and their failures. About them the actress decided to tell, about their struggle, about the fact that it is necessary to live, to live now. When he tells about his heroines, he gradually enters into their emotions, sometimes he gets carried away by them, and this, in turn, is given to the audience. Some people succumb to strong tension and do not hide tears (...) from such simple stories, many of which, without being a little banal, were woven by Justyna Sieńczyłło, supported by director Wawrzyńiec Kostrzewski, moving the play. Kostrzewski gave these stories a dimension of generalization, on the one hand simplicity, ordinariness, and on the other, a proposal for a different way of thinking about the world. It is curious that in times so oppressive, so difficult, so full of tension, such a story appears. Like a therapy session.
Justyna Sieńczyłło proves once again that nothing is impossible for a real actress and with the help of small sets, the play of lights, even moving to the stage, she introduces the viewer to a different story (...) The play “Live Now”, despite its serious subject matter, carries a large dose of positive outlook on the world and one's own life, gives support and motivation. This is a really important show in the modern world and it is worth going to the Kamienica Theater. Live now!
When the lights went out on the stage of the Kamienica Theatre, the audience saw not only Justyna Sieńczyło — they saw a kaleidoscope of human destinies. The play “Live Now”, adapted and directed by Wawrzyńec Kostrzewski, is more than a demonstration of an acting workshop. Based on authentic stories, it is a journey through the lives of three different women, united by one thing: a borderline situation that forces you to reevaluate everything that has been known so far. Sieńczilo moves from drama to subtle humor with extraordinary precision, without losing touch with the audience for a moment. Kostrzewski opted for minimalism of form, allowing words to sound, which in today's fast-paced world often lose their meaning.
(...) It's us and the three characters played by Justyna Sieńczyłło. In the form of a narrator, she is like a guide to the pain and trauma of others. Calm, balanced, focused. With tenderness he leans over the heroines, with great sensitivity he puts his hand on their agitated souls. Warmly sings affirmations of reinforcement, which should be for each of them mantras that bring them closer to understanding themselves and strengthening for the future. It's so soothing... for everyone. It would seem a simple idea, stories in which emotions are the most important, and so far there have probably been few such performances on the theater boards. Wawrzyniec Kostrzewski gave these stories a more universal dimension, although he did not take away their individual character at all, and Justyna Sieńczyłło proves that it is not necessary to have fireworks to enchant viewers.

Live now!
Al. Solidarności 93, WarszawaAs Emilian Kamiński, the creator of the Kamienica Theatre, used to say, “Life is the highest value, there is nothing more valuable than life.” This sentence became the inspiration for the play, whose text was based on authentic stories — sometimes beautiful, sometimes painful, but certainly worth listening to.
